1 dead, 2 arrested after stabbing in Cape Breton

The Major Crime Unit is investigating a stabbing in Whitney Pier that left one man dead and two others in custody.

Police say it was around 11:30 a.m., Wednesday, when a man with stab wounds on Frederich Street was taken to hospital with life threatening injuries.

Multiple agencies then searched for a suspect vehicle that left the scene heading toward New Waterford.

Around 1p.m. two men were arrested on Highway 223 near Orangedale.
