Remaining buildings could soon come down at former Bloomfield school site

Two more buildings could soon come down at the former Bloomfield school site.

One building was recently demolished after it was devastated by a fire in February.

The buildings have been vacant for years, and the property owners got a demolition permit from the city on March 11th.

According to the application, they plan to redevelop the land.

This comes after several recent fires in abandoned buildings. The Halifax Firefighters Union warned earlier this week that vacant and abandoned buildings pose a danger to the public and to fire crews.
