City plans to bill property owners for demolition at Bloomfield site

The city hired a company to tear down part of the former Bloomfield school site after a fire, but taxpayers will not be on the hook for those costs.

The municipality confirmed today that they will bill the property owners for the fencing and security around the building after the fire, as well as the demolition.

The buildings have been abandoned for years, and one was devastated by a fire in February.

The owners were also recently approved to demolish the other two buildings at the site.
