It has since expanded to all schools in the municipality for students between grade 7 and 12.

Homeschooled students will also now be able to get free passes in September.

The city will release more information about how they can get them at a later date.

Halifax is working to make it a permanent program, but they need to find long-term funding first, according to a report from the city council. in the meantime, the report recommended the city continue the pilot program.
