New Year’s Eve celebrations in Halifax

It’s time to ring-in 2026!

Halifax’s annual New Year’s Eve celebrations take place at Grand Parade tonight at 11 p.m.

Local artists Skratch Bastid, Lane Hall and JupiterReign will perform, then a fireworks display at midnight.

A free skate is happening at the Emera Oval from 10 p.m to 12:30 a.m.

Tomorrow, a New Year’s Day Levee at City Hall, starting at 9:30 a.m.

The city encourages you to travel safely, and take advantage of free Halifax Transit service starting tonight at 6.
