A man has been charged after waving around a knife on Spring Garden Rd.
It was around 5:00pm yesterday when a man showed and threatened a knife to a woman and youth, not known to him, who were standing on the sidewalk. The woman and man who were with him, left the scene on foot.
A man was then seen waving a knife around in a building on Sackville Street, a short time later. He left building but matched the description of the suspect from the earlier incident.
He was then arrested on Brunswick St around 5:30pm.
The 24-year-old is scheduled to appear in court today facing the following charges.
- Uttering threats to cause bodily harm or death
- Possession of a weapon dangerous to the public peace
- Fail to comply with a probation order
