Man arrested after harassing two families in Halifax

A man is facing charges after harassing two separate families in Halifax.

Police say the man approached a family while on a Transit bus around 8:30 last night.

He followed them off the bus on Mumford Rd then assaulted one of the parents when they confronted him, when it seemed he was reaching for a child.

Shortly after another report of a similar incident, this time the man threatened the parents if they left the area with the children.

The 35-year-old was arrested and will appear in court today facing these charges:

  • Criminal harassment (x2)
  • Assault
  • Uttering threats
  • Fail to comply with a probation order (x2)
