15-year-old girl facing charges after possible stabbing in Bayers Lake

RCMP are investigating after a 15-year-old girl was injured from a possible stabbing in Bayers Lake.

It was Friday night just before 8pm at the 200 block on Chain Lake Drive when RCMP responded to a weapons complaint.

They found the teenager wounded with what looked like a stab wound and she was taken to hospital.

Another 15-year-old girl, known to the victim, was arrested and is now facing charges including:

Assault with a Weapon, Assault Causing Bodily Harm and Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose

She will appear in Halifax court at a later date.
