Nova Scotia’s police watchdog is investigating an officer-involved shooting in Halifax.
Just after 10 p.m. Thursday, Halifax Regional Police were in the 100 block of Plateau Crescent in Clayton Park looking for a man in connection with a stabbing.
Police allege as officers approached the suspect, he pointed a firearm towards an officer who then discharged their service weapon.
The man has been taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries.
SiRT, which investigates police-involved incidents, is looking into the matter.
