People are rallying around a Spryfield family of five after fire significantly damaged their home.
Firefighters responded to a Sylvia Avenue address Thursday.
A natural gas leak was reported on the scene.
According to a Go-Fund-Me page, the Chaissons got out safely but lost everything.
It also says the wife and mom of three has been in remission from Cancer since July.
Justin is a well-known member of the softball community in Halifax and teams and players have been rallying to support his family.
More than half of the $5000 fundraising goal has been raised so far.
