One of Halifax’s most notable tourist attractions is about to shut its doors until the spring.
The Art Gallery of Nova Scotia says the closure starting February 1, is for maintenance.
The gallery says the fire suppression system has reached the end of its life in the south building and needs to be replaced immediately.
Community programming will continue at the Halifax Central Library.
