SiRT investigating fatal collision during traffic stop in Hammonds Plains

The Serious Incident Response Team is investigating after a man died during an attempted traffic stop.

RCMP say it was around 7 p.m. Monday night, on Hammonds Plains Rd.

A pick-up truck, sped onto Glen Arbour Way, hit a power pole near Skye Cres and ended up in the ditch.

A 22-year-old Bedford man, and only one in the vehicle, was found dead.

RCMP Collision Reconstruction and Analyst Services attended the scene.

Glen Arbour Way was closed and has since reopened.
