Speed will drop to 40 in two Halifax neighborhoods

You’ll have to slow down a little more in a couple of Halifax neighborhoods, as speed limits are about to drop from 50km/h to 40 km/h.

The first is in the northern peninsula, bounded by the Mackay ramp, Novalea Drive, Lady Hammond Rd and Duffus Street.

The second is in the residential area of Armcresent bounded by Chebucto Rd, Connaught and Quinpool.

The city says it’s in an effort to improve road safety.

Crews will begin work this week.
