Halifax restaurant has been named one of Canada’s best

A restaurant in downtown Halifax is one of the best in the country.

That’s according to national food magazine, Canada’s 100 Best, which has given Bar Kismet, on Agricola St, the number 9 spot.

That is three notches up from last year when it ranked 12.

The restaurant’s website describes itself as a “small family owned and operated restaurant/bar serving inventive cocktails, thoughtfully curative wine, fresh seafood and handmade pasta.”

The magazine describes it as a room of “inviting comfort, falling somewhere between your grandmothers dining room and French farmhouse inn.”

Mon Lapin in Montreal nabbed the top spot on the list, for the sixth year in a row.
