Halifax Water and the Halifax Regional Municipality are offering a short-term solution to septic tank concerns.
According to a release, private septage haulers can dispose of septage loads at a secured, monitored site across from the Aerotech Wastewater Treatment Plant beginning Monday.
It will be available for up to three weeks to help manage the impacts of a mechanical failure at a privately owned facility.
Septage haulers must sign an agreement stating operators will accept and meet several conditions and requirements.
