MusGo receiving $445K to expand fleet with 5 new vehicles

A non-profit organization that provides transportation on the Eastern Shore is getting five new vehicles.

MusGo is receiving more than $445,000 from the federal and provincial governments.

They are getting one electric vehicle and four hybrid vans, with one that is wheelchair accessible.

Three will replace their gas vehicles, while the other two will help expand their door-to-door service.

MusGo Rider Board Chair Colin Cameron says they have a huge debt of gratitude to all three levels of government for not only recognizing the importance of affordable public transit to residents of our rural communities, but for supporting the organizations commitment to more environmentally friendly transportation.
