Power outage affects thousands in H.R.M.

Some people may be running late after a power outage in parts of the Halifax Regional Municipality.

About 10,000 customers woke up Friday morning with no electricity mostly in the Dartmouth area and on the Eastern Shore according to the outage map.

Nova Scotia Power’s website indicated there was a transmission interruption.

Parts of the HRM did see heavy thundershowers overnight.

Only scattered outages remained as of 7:30 a.m.
