Woman with life-threatening injuries after hit in crosswalk

A woman has what are believed to be life-threatening injuries after being hit by a car in Clayton Park.

Police say it was Thursday around 8:30 p.m. on Lacewood Drive.

The 36-year-old was walking across the road in a marked crosswalk when she was hit.

She was hurt and taken to hospital.

The driver has been issued a $697.50 for failing to yield to a pedestrian.

Police continue to investigate.
