2 impaired drivers arrested after hit-and-run in Cole Harbour

RCMP arrested two women for impaired driving following a hit-and-run in Cole Harbour.

It happened in a parking lot on Merrimac Drive just before midnight on September 25th.

Responding officers saw the vehicle of interest return to the scene and collide with a dumpster.

They arrested the 25-year-old driving and her 28-year-old female passenger – who turned out to be the driver in the hit-and-run.

Police say both accused showed signs of impairment and failed the breathalyzer test.

The women arrested were released and will appear in court.
