Part of Barrington Street reopens in downtown Halifax

Traffic in downtown Halifax could be getting a little better.

Part of Barrington Street is reopening after it was closed several months ago for the Cogswell redevelopment project.

Traffic in the area frequently makes commuters and buses late.

But the city says people should still expect delays.

There will be one lane going in both directions between Duke Street and Upper Water Street.

Two bus stops, the 5 and the 84, will be moved from Albemarle Street to a temporary stop on Barrington Street in front of Scotia Square.
