RCMP: High-risk offender moving to N.S. from N.B.

RCMP officers are warning citizens that a high-risk offender from New Brunswick is believed to be moving to Nova Scotia.

According to RCMP, Robert Edgar Paul, 35, isn’t required to tell police where he’ll be living, but they say they believed he’ll be in the Millbrook area.

Paul is described as 5-foot-8, 185 pounds. He has brown hair and brown eyes.

The warning is in accordance with the Nova Scotia Release of a High-Risk Offender Information Protocol.

Officers explain that Paul has an extensive and persistent criminal history of violent and non-violent offences dating back to 2005.

Paul served a full term in a federal institution for his most recent conviction – Dangerous Operation of a Conveyance Causing Bodily Harm and Uttering Threats to Cause Death or Bodily Harm.

RCMP says this information is provided, under Section 8(2)(m) of the Privacy Act, to alert members of the public of Paul’s potential presence in the community and isn’t intended to encourage any form of vigilante activity or other unreasonable conduct.

Paul is scheduled to be released from prison on Monday, August 24.
