The Halifax Mooseheads Win Another Preseason Game

Your Halifax Mooseheads played another game against the Charlottetown Islanders on the weekend to round out the home and home series.

After Halifax defeated the Islanders at the Zatzman Sportsplex in Dartmouth 5-1 last Wednesday, the Herd got another victory taking down the Isles 3-2 in a Saturday afternoon matinee in Charlottetown.

New kid in town Mateo Nobert wore a Herd jersey for the first time and led the game with two goals.

Halifax native Danny Walters also lit the red light and goaltender Carson Mertz was solid in goal for the entire game and was impressive with 37 saves on 39 shots.

The Mooseheads continue the preseason this Friday in the Port City facing the Saint John Dogs, with the last exhibition season game Friday, September 11th versus the Sea Dogs for another home and homer.

The regular season for Halifax begins at home Saturday September 19th versus Moncton here in Moose Country.
