Nova Scotia RCMP are renewing their appeal for information as Sunday marks 15 years since the murder of Edward William Phalen in Trenton.
Police say Phalen, 44, was shot and killed outside a home on Mechanic Street on Oct. 25, 2011.
Investigators have classified the case as a homicide and say it remains unsolved.
According to RCMP, the investigation determined Phalen left his home to go to a nearby convenience store at about 7:45 p.m. that evening.
Police say he was shot and killed when he returned home by a person, or people, who had been waiting for him.
Investigators believe there are individuals who have information that could help advance the case and potentially lead to an arrest and charges.
The Nova Scotia Department of Justice continues to offer a reward of up to $150,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person, or persons, responsible for Phalen’s death.
