Public Health warning of fentanyl tainted drugs being sold in Halifax

Health officials are out with a warning about a tainted drug circulating in the Halifax area.

Public Health says a sample of MDMA, or molly, has tested positive for fentanyl.

Just a small amount of the powerful pain medication can cause an overdose or death.

Officials report the laced drug looks like MDMA crystals that come as orange and black capsules. They say it was ingested and an overdose was reversed with Naloxone.

It has been found in Windsor, West Hants, and HRM.
