Police say driver located after hit and run involving teen on bike

Police say they’ve found the driver after a hit and run in the city last week.

Halifax Regional Police were called to Oxford Street at around 4 p.m. on Thursday for a collision involving a car and a 14-year-old cyclist.

They reported the driver stopped briefly but left before police arrived,

The teen was sent to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

After reaching out to the public for help, police say the driver contacted them that same day.

The investigation is ongoing.
