Nate MacKinnon Stanley Cup Parade hits Halifax tomorrow

We are less than 24 hours away from Cole Harbour’s own Nate MacKinnon gracing Brunswick St and then some with the Stanley Cup. We’re hopeful (and pretty sure) this won’t be his only trip home with Lord Stanley in tow, but either way it’s time to come together in droves for one of our own at 12-Noon tomorrow (Saturday).

Nate grew up idolizing Sidney Crosby while playing his minor league puck at Cole Harbour Place before moving up to the QMJHL with the Halifax Mooseheads and bringing home the 2013 Memorial Cup trophy.

Nate attended a few of Sid’s parades a little hammed and one of his first statements after winning the cup was a request for 87 to return home and indulge for his first bash.

This surely won’t be the first time the cup has been lifted in downtown Halifax (or the HRM), but it’s a little extra special given Nate’s Moosehead history too. Not to mention, it’s also his first trip home with the hardware.

12pm (aka Noon) tomorrow is when Nate and the cup hit the streets.
