Heat warning in place for Halifax

A heat warning has been issued for the Halifax region.

Summer-like heat is expected Monday and Tuesday.

The national forecaster predicts a high of 33 to start the week and a hot blast reaching 33 to 36 on Tuesday.

Cooler conditions can be expected along parts of the coast both days.

Temperatures will turn cooler over all areas by Tuesday night.

Heat warnings are issued when very high temperature or humidity conditions are expected to pose an elevated risk of heat illnesses, such as heat stroke or heat exhaustion.
