The homeless problem in the city is getting worse with more people ending up on the streets everyday, according to the Street Outreach Team.
They explain in a twitter post that the province needs a housing plan and mental health support and that the supports in place now are not enough.
They are also ask for compassion and if you are able to donate a tent or sleeping bag, they need them.
Just a reminder that daily we are meeting people being evicted from their homes directly to the streets. There’s no available shelter/public housing. If you see tents or an area near you is filling up with tents, have compassion for the way things can break down in peoples lives.
