Police investigate an alleged hit-and-run involving a child in Halifax

Halifax Regional Police are investigating an alleged hit and run just off Herring Cove Road.

On October 6th at about 6 p.m. a child was crossing in the area of Punch Bowl Drive and Highfield Street when they were struck by a silver or light grey Hyundai SUV.

The child did not sustain any injuries.

The driver, described by witnesses as a man, did not stop and left the area.

Call police if you have information in relation to the incident or the SUV driver’s identity.
