The Alderney Ferry will be closed Saturday morning from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. because of a lack of staff.
Shuttle buses will be provided in place of the ferry as they are “operationally available,” according to a social media post from Halifax Transit.
Dozens of ferry trips have been canceled in recent weeks.
Staff often have to take double shifts, working 16 hours in a row, which causes a lot of burnout, union president Ray MacKenzie previously told the Acadia Broadcasting newsroom.
