Retired RCMP officer involved in murder-suicide in Enfield

The death of a man and woman in Enfield was a result of a murder-suicide, involving a retired RCMP officer.

A 59-year-old woman and 61-year-old man died inside a home on Rockcliffe Drive on October 18.

Police say the man, who was a retired RCMP member, killed the woman and then himself.

The investigation shows it was an incident of intimate partner violence.

This marks the third murder-suicide in Nova Scotia, in the last few weeks, that was a result of intimate partner violence.

The other two were in Yarmouth and Cole Harbour.
