Family donates $1 million to Dartmouth General Hospital Foundation

The Dartmouth General Foundation has received another major donation.

Robert and Nancy Van Wart gifted $1 million to the hospital for kidney research.

On social media, the foundation says it will go toward innovative technology to help patients with dialysis therapy, as well as heart and brain function.

The new project will help improve heart rate monitors, oxygen saturation detectors and virtual reality tools.

In a news release, Robert van Wart says kidney disease has affected his family a lot, so they are honoured to help fund this research.
