A youth is expected to be OK after being hit by a car in East Preston.
RCMP responded to a vehicle-pedestrian collision near the 2280 block of Highway 7 at about 3:30 pm Tuesday.
Police say it was reported a Honda Civic struck the youth who had suddenly attempted to cross the roadway. They had been walking on the side of the road with a second youth moments prior to the impact.
The pedestrian was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The driver, a 48-year-old Lake Echo man, was not injured.
