A man has been charged with attempted murder after he allegedly drove a vehicle toward a Halifax Police officer.
The 32-year-old was arrested last night after the incident at a traffic stop on Main Avenue.
Police say two officers tried to stop an erratic driver when the vehicle suddenly accelerated toward one of them.
An officer fired two shots at the vehicle, no one was injured.
The man was scheduled to appear in court today, he’s also charged with dangerous driving.
A woman was also in custody but has since been released.
The Serious Incident Response Team is also investigating.
