Man sent to hospital after shooting in Halifax

A shooting in Halifax has sent one man to the hospital.

It happened around 11 p.m. Thursday night in the area of Veith Street and Hanover Street, according to a news release from Halifax Regional Police.

They say the adult was shot and taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Officers say they believe the incident was not random and there is no threat to the public.

The investigation continues.
