Nova Scotia pilot killed in crash in Ont.

A Nova Scotia man is dead after a plane crash at the airport in Thunder Bay on Monday.

Peter Balodis died in the crash, according to a social media post from the 374 F/L Chisholm Squadron Royal Canadian Air Cadets in Pictou County.

They say they’re saddened by his death, noting he graduated from the squadron in 2008.

Balodis was a talented musician and Band Major and achieved his Glider Pilot’s license as a cadet.

He was 30 years old.
