There’s nothing like a refreshing dip to get a new year going.
And Dartmouth hosted one of many across the country to welcome 2026.
Hosted by the Darkside Dippers polar dip club, reports indicate at least 500 people took the plunge into Lake Banook on New Year’s Day.
Diving in from Lion’s Beach, the annual swim was just the first the club will host this winter.
According to their Facebook page, the club hosts weekly community dips.
The first is scheduled for Sunday, Jan. 4.
