Man faces attempted murder charges after Westphal shooting

A 21-year-old man is facing attempted murder charges after a shooting in Westphal.

RCMP say it happened just before 6 p.m., January 29, in a parking lot in the 700 block of Highway 7.

A man was sitting in a in his vehicle when another driver entered the parking lot. The man got out of his car and fired shots at the other driver before leaving.

The victim, a 19-year-old man from Dartmouth, was not injured.

On February 12, the suspect was arrested, appeared in court February 13 and remains in custody before going to court again.

The gun used in the shooting has not been found.
