Halifax Police investigate suspicious death in Dartmouth

Halifax Regional Police are investigating a suspicious death after an incident that occurred in Dartmouth.

Police responded to reports Sunday morning of gunshots fired in the area of Lahey Road and Clarence Street.

Officers found a man and a woman suffering from gunshot wounds at the scene and were transported to the hospital.

Police say the man has died and the woman’s injuries are not life-threatening.

Investigators added that the Nova Scotia Medical Examiner Service is conducting an autopsy.

Officers will maintain a visible presence at the scene as the investigation continues.

Police are asking anyone with information or video from the area, including dashcam footage, to call 902-490-5020.
