A youth has been charged after a weapons complaint at Musquodoboit Rural High School.
On Monday, the accused arrived at the school with an airsoft pistol, then shot another youth in the hand.
Later the weapon was brandished at another youth inside the school.
The accused was confronted and then fled from school property.
That night, RCMP arrested the youth at a residence in Elmsvale.
Charges include possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, assault with a weapon and uttering threats.
The youth was released on conditions and will appear in court in March.
