What’s Open And Closed September 30th?

Nova Scotia will be marking its first Truth and Reconciliation Day tomorrow, September 30th.

Our provincial government offices, public schools and regulated child care will all be closed.

Businesses have been given the choice to remain open and you can expect grocery stores and pharmacies to be.

But NSLC stores will be closed on September 30th.

Both Mic Mac Mall and the Halifax Shopping Centre will have reduced hours from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Over at Dartmouth Crossing, many businesses will be open 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., however big box stores, restaurants, theatres and coffee shops may be open during their regular hours.

It’s best to check with the individual business.

Banks will be closed.

Halifax Transit buses will be operating on holiday service on Thursday.

Paid on-street parking will be free.
