The Joe Is Back In Cole Harbour!

Cole Harbour is busy hosting the annual Joe Lamontagne March Break tournament at Cole Harbour Place.

This year the tournament returns after being cancelled in 2020 & 2021 due to COVID-19.

The 2022 Tournament runs from now to this Sunday, March 20th.

By the end of the tournament every skater and all the goaltenders from all teams will have participated in the Sidney Crosby Shootout and receive a Crosby shootout pin donated by the Crosby family.

Below is my son Drake, he his TASA Ducks Pee Wee AAA team took part in this in 2006.

One game, he forgot his skates at home, that was a fast trip from Cole Harbour to Timberlea and back! Great memories.

(Ian’s Son Drake age 11 playing for TASA above in 2006 at The Joe. Today, he is a Referee in the AUS, MHL and other Hockey Nova Scotia high performance leagues.)

Hi to Jeff MacPhee, Paul Mason, Sidney Crosby’s former Coach, and the volunteers making this happen!

See what Paul had to say to a player earlier today:

It’s so great to see the tourney back with the local restaurants and hotels busy with hockey families.

Good luck to all teams at “The Joe” rockin’ Cole Harbour Place!
