Halifax Mooseheads Training Camp Opens Saturday

The Halifax Mooseheads are gearing up for a return to the ice when training camp opens for 47 players including 26 forwards, 15 defencemen and six goaltenders.

It all begins this Saturday, August 20th with player registration at the RBC Centre in Dartmouth, which is the Mooseheads Practice Facility.

Action on the ice kicks off this Sunday at 9am with the first-of-four Green vs White scrimmages.

Unlike the previous years during the pandemic, all games and practices will be open to the public.

First round draft pick Owen Phillips of Upper Tantallon, Nova Scotia highlights some of the new faces at camp this summer along with second round pick, former Cole Harbour Wolfpack member, Reece Peitzsche of Beaver Bank, Nova Scotia.

The preseason schedule begins on Tuesday, August 23rd in Glace Bay vs the Cape Breton Eagles.

The same two teams will meet in a rematch on Wednesday, August 24th at 7pm in Dartmouth.

The Mooseheads 29th Home Opener is against Charlottetown on Friday, Sept. 23rd at Scotiabank Centre.

I’m looking forward to getting behind the Moose Microphone for my 26th season as the Halifax Mooseheads Public Address Announcer.

See ya in the rink and Go Moose GO!
