The Annual Duct Tape Boat Races Were Sunday in Spryfield

It was a hot day yesterday at “The Fun DUCT Raiser” on Long Lake in support of the Long Lake Provincial Park Association a part of Spryfield Days.

With the races, all the boats were made of only two things: cardboard and duct tape!

I was happy to announce the races once again with co-host Catheryn, one of the organizers.

Here’s some of the creativity with the duct tape boats:

Some of the boat names included Hope It Floats, She Got The House, HMCS Wet Blankie, Shine Box and Fish-N-Ships.

After seven heats in the heat, it was Usain Boat taking first place.

The winners of the “Titanic Award” for first to sink were “The Hoppy Hour” decked in Alexander Keiths colours and hops!

And some of the action on Long Lake:

Here are some of the winners from Station 60 in Herring Cove with me and Quacky the Mascot!

Congrats to everyone who participated.

Thanks to Catheryn and the folks for the invite, see you again next year!
