There’s Exciting New BIG Additions In Moose Country This Season

Have you “Herd” about the new BIG moose head at the Halifax Mooseheads games?
New this season is a huge Moose that hangs in the north end of the Scotiabank Centre.
Brian Urquhart the team’s President says “It’s close to 17’ by 17’ in size and almost 1500lbs! It hangs over top of the opposing team goalie.”

The eyes light up and change colors like red and green, plus another effect includes hazy smoke that comes out the nose.
The new Moose came all the way from a designer in British Columbia.

Brian says, “it’s a project we’ve been working on for over a year.”
Along with the Moose you’re going to notice a brand-new light show around the rink stanchions that is also pretty colourful.
The lights you’ll notice go in sequence to the beat of various music tracks including the Mooseheads hit the ice song at the start of the game by Halifax’s Sloan “Money City Maniacs!”

The Mooseheads are the only team in the QMJHL with this lighting display, with the same being used by only two NHL teams: the Vancouver Canucks and Nashville Predators.
These two new additions added for the fan in game experience were brought into Moose Country by the Mooseheads owners Sam Simon and Peter Simon of Simon Sports.

If you want to experience the new additions, the Herd host Cape Breton tomorrow, Saturday night for “90’s Night” and the Charlottetown Islanders on Sunday afternoon at 3.
See ya at the rink!
