Former Halifax Female Sportscaster Makes TSN History!

It was history in the making last night for TSN’s very own Kenzie Lalonde, became the first female play-by-play announcer on a TSN broadcast of an NHL game!
Kenzie called the play of the Toronto Maple Leafs and Ottawa Senators game at Scotiabank Arena in Toronto with Jamie MacLennan doing colour.

Kenzie got her start in the Maritimes doing the play-by-play for the MHL and QMJHL on Eastlink Community TV and moved on to be the Montreal beat reporter for TSN.

She’s previously done the call on PWHL games.
Here’s some of her work last night:
The Leafs lost 3-0 to the Ottawa Senators, the team she grew up cheering for.
Way to go Kenzers, we’re so darn proud of you!
Kenzie is a friend of mine who I got to know around the rink when she called Halifax Mooseheads games, she even did an endorsement for my “Ultimate Hockey Joke Book, Laugh Your Faceoff!”
Keep on breaking that glass ceiling for female sports broadcasters, my friend, we’re cheering you on from Halifax!
