Catching Up With Aaron Goodvin

It was great to get caught up with Aaron Goodvin this week.
He kicked off his Atlantic Canada tour right here in Halifax at the Bella Rose Arts Centre in Clayton Park.
Arron delivered his hot hits over the years from “Woman In Love”, “You Are” and “Good Old Bad Days” to “Boys Like Me”, “Country Dance” and ending the night with his anthem signature song “Lonely Drum”.
Plus, the one he gets fans requesting “the Tim Hortons song, ya know there’s one on every corner?!”
He also did some fine covers of Tracy Byrd’s “I’m From The Country” as Aaron grew up on 90’s Country. Other covers included Tennessee Whisky from Chris Stapleton and “Walking in Memphis” the 1990 hit from Marc Cohn. To hit the high notes, Aaron pulled up his pants to make his voice go a little higher.
His personality shone through making some Dad Jokes as he’s a proud papa of almost one year old Eloise with wife Victoria.
He reminisced about playing one of our Hot Country Birthday bashes.
Aaron noted that he’s now three years sober, way to go buddy, we are proud of you!
Being it’s the holiday season, Aaron performed his favorite Christmas song as well, the 1978 Eagles classic “Please Come Home For Christmas” one of my all-time faves too.
Here’s an Arron audio encore of some of his tunes that he played below:
Newfoundland’s Justin Fancy our Hot Country Acadia Broadcasting Breakout Artist did a fine opening set.

Halifax’s Brooklyn Blackmore also joined in the concert delivering a high energy performance on “Lipstick Stains.”
