Since 1964, Christmas Daddies has been a proud Maritime tradition, dedicated to bringing joy to less fortunate children during the holiday season. Our annual telethon, broadcast on CTV Atlantic, is powered by volunteers—CTV staff, their families, and friends—who come together to create a heartfelt celebration of Maritime generosity. Showcasing incredible local talent, the telethon highlights the spirit of giving that defines our Maritime region. Above: Ian, wife Roxanne with the Christmas Daddies Gingerbread Man and Scrooge. The program has grown steadily, and raised a total of over $40 million dollars for less fortunate children from its very humble beginnings when the very first Telethon in 1964 raised $1,500. In partnership with The Salvation Army, who manages registration of families seeking help and the distribution of food, toys and gifts, we ensure that the funds raised go directly to helping those in need. On a personal note, I’m pretty proud of my wife Roxanne, the shows Executive Director, and her crew for a successful telethon! -Ian (A Christmas Daddies Volunteer since 1985.)
