Your FAVE reality shows are taking applications NOW!!

Why let Chris Gallant have all the fun and fame on the upcoming season of The Bachelorette!? YOU can be a reality star too, and HERE IS HOW:

THE BACHELOR/BACHELORETTE

According to ABC’s casting page for “The Bachelor” and “The Bachelorette,” you have to be at least 21 years old to be on the show.

You can submit your own application, or you can nominate someone! Although, if I’m going to be COMPLETELY honest: I NEVER believe contestants when they say their ‘friends’ nominated them. 😉

They also post their casting calls, and require you to print out the application and fill it out to bring with you.

That is for the American franchise, however Bachelor in Paradise Canada DID accept applications for their season which will air this Fall. Currently, they are not accepting applications, but when they DO for future seasons it will be here.

DRAGONS’ DEN

Plenty of Maritimers have got their big break on Dragons Den:

Hope Blooms
Vertiball
Jeff Alpaugh
(Just to name a FEW!)

If you want your chance, they are currently accepting applications for season 17!! With Covid in mind, they aren’t doing in-person auditions and instead are going virtual! If you don’t get selected THIS TIME around, they will hold on to your application for the future! DOOOOO IT!!

CANADA’S GOT TALENT

Again, SO MANY Nova Scotians got their big break on Canada’s Got Talent, OR similar talent shows!

AND Canada’s Got Talent is accepting applications NOW!!!!

BIG BROTHER CANADA

Being on Big Brother would be the adventure of a lifetime – and they ARE accepting applications now for the next season!

You have to fill out this form in ONE sitting. They ask for all the normal things (name, age, gender, residence, marital status, etc) and also want to know your social media handles, ask for a self-biography, and want photo and video submissions as well. PLUS you have to sign an online release and waiver. So, if you DO plan on applying, give yourself enough time to finish it.

By the way, if you want to know what an IN-PERSON casting call for Big Brother is like… check out Rylie’s story on the Melody & Forman podcast! She’s been there, DONE THAT, and has some SOUND ADVICE for you on YOUR audition!

  • Originally from Ontario (please don't hold that against her), Melody has called herself a Maritimer for the last 11 years after starting her radio career in Fredericton, NB and quickly making her way to Halifax, NS. Sometimes saucy, and ALWAYS authentic, Melody likes to keep it real whether she's talking about mom-life, pop culture, the community, or whatever else is on her mind on any given day.
