New pop-up primary care clinic opens in downtown Halifax

A new primary care option has opened along Dresden Row in downtown Halifax, where patients may notice a clinic called Citadel Health Home.

The mobile primary care clinic is focused on treating non-urgent health concerns, including prescription renewals, fever, and cold and flu symptoms.

Officials say the clinic is not housed in a vehicle, but instead operates as a pop-up model, set up in locations based on community need.

Patients are checked in on arrival and given an appointment time. They are asked to bring their Nova Scotia Health card and a list of any medications they are currently taking.
